Cary, N.C., April 7, 2022 – Medical communications expert Crystal Weber is the new Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of Group 31 Communications, the organization announced today. Weber will also serve as president of the company’s board of directors. She succeeds Denise Godwin, the outgoing CEO, and Kevin Szogas, the outgoing president, both of whom will remain on the board and provide transition support.
Weber joined Group 31 in 2018, bringing with her 15 years of experience as a healthcare provider and significant experience in medical marketing and education. She was honored earlier this year by MM+M as a “Woman to Watch” in 2022.
Beth Reed, who joined Group 31 in the spring of 2021, will serve as the company’s Chief Operating Officer. Reed has more than a decade of agency operations experience, holds a Project Management Professional certification and is a Certified Scrum Master®. Ms. Reed has led several award-winning teams, including 2020 Pharma Choice Gold, 2018 PM360 Patient Campaign, and 2015 MAC Gold Award Website.
